Job Description Job Description LHH Recruitment Solutions has
partnered with a company in the Real Estate space. We are in search
of a temporary Property Accountant. The Property Accountant is
responsible for handling the full financial accounting cycle for an
assigned portfolio of properties. This role ensures accurate
financial reporting, timely month?end close, and proper maintenance
of tenant and property records while supporting both internal teams
and external stakeholders. Property Accountant Location: Berwyn, PA
Fully on site Hourly: $35- $40/hr. Contract 6 month minimum with
possible extension Key Responsibilities Manage day?to?day
accounting for assigned properties, including general ledger
maintenance, journal entries, and accruals. Prepare monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting
schedules. Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet
reconciliations, and ensure all accounts are accurate and up to
date. Review leases to ensure proper billing of rent, escalations,
recoveries, and other tenant charges. Process tenant billings,
maintain tenant ledgers, and resolve discrepancies. Complete CAM
(Common Area Maintenance), tax, and insurance reconciliations as
required. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
related to assigned properties. Assist in budget preparation,
forecasting, and variance analysis. Maintain accurate documentation
for audits and internal review processes. Collaborate with property
management, tenants, vendors, and internal departments to resolve
financial issues. Ensure compliance with accounting policies,
procedures, and GAAP standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). Prior experience
in property or real estate accounting strongly preferred. Strong
understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting/property management software (e.g.,
Yardi, MRI, RealPage) is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines,
multitask, and communicate effectively with cross?functional teams.
