Job Description Job Description Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description We are seeking dedicated Construction Laborers for our Ixonia location. You will be involved in building wood-framed metal pole buildings, requiring skills in reading a tape measure, using hand and power tools, and regularly lifting between 50-100 lbs. Responsibilities Build wood-framed metal pole buildings. Read and interpret construction plans accurately. Dig and install footings, frame walls, and install windows, doors, and door openings. Install various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood, and other materials. Finish structures with metal and wood trims. Maintain and apply safety and construction procedures daily. Collaborate effectively with crew members in a respectful and organized manner. Essential Skills Proficiency in construction and carpentry. Experience with hand and power tools, including skill saws, table saws, drills, and nail guns. Ability to lift 50-100 lbs regularly. Experience in rough carpentry and sheet metal work. Minimum of 6 months carpentry experience, which can be validated through references. Comfortable working at heights. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid Driver's License. Class A CDL is a plus and offers an automatic pay increase. Experience in carpentry can include high school shop class or construction projects with friends/family. Why Work Here? You will be part of a 3-4 man crew, working primarily out of the Dodgeville location. The dress code requires pants, a T-shirt, and 6" leather boots, with PPE provided. Work hours start at 6:00 am and can extend to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, with up to 60 hours per week available. Breaks include a 15-minute morning and afternoon break, plus a half-hour lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Glarus, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
