Job Description Job Description Title: Field Test Engineering Technician (Radar, RF & GPS Systems) Location: Chicagoland Area Salary Range: $80000 – $100000 / Year Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Benefits: Health/Dental, 401K, Long-short term disability, Flex savings account Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Field Test Engineering Technician to help validate advanced radar and sensing systems in real-world environments. This role is ideal for someone who prefers testing products where they actually operate—in cities, open terrain, hills, and flat land—not just in a lab. This is a foundational role on a newly formed field testing team, with clear runway to grow into a team lead position. What You’ll Be Doing: Field testing radar and GPS-based sensing systems in real operating environments Pushing products to success—or failure—to understand real performance limits Collecting and analyzing test data and sharing insights with engineering teams Documenting results and helping improve future designs Supporting a growing test organization from the ground up What We’re Looking For: Prior experience testing GPS, radar, RF, or similar sensing products in the field Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently outdoors and on-site No degree required—hands-on experience matters most Must have prior experience with a minimum of 2 years of this experience. Military experience doing similar work is highly encouraged.
