Job Description Job Description Description: Immediate permanent Maintenance Mechanic opportunity for a growing manufacturing plant located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the production equipment in the facility and maintaining/enhancing equipment to meet production and quality and customer expectations. Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot motor control circuits, drives and PLC systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC Systems Troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems. Perform routine PM's, repairs, rebuild and modify equipment assigned and to include electrically controlled equipment. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all company vehicles. Repair mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, cranes and forklifts. Perform upgrades and/or changes to equipment if needed. Suggest ways to make production more efficient. Maintain a high level of safety awareness and reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions. Follow company policies and procedures Able to operate various machinery – scissor, boom lift and forklift. Assist with snow removal as necessary, able to be flexible with work hours when necessary. Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques. Requirements: Requirements Must have a valid Drivers License. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 2-year technical degree in electricity or electronics or trade school is preferred. Min. 5 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferably welding, heavy fabrication. Previous experience with troubleshooting with PLC's preferably Allen Bradley· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, fractions and decimals. Willingness to be flexible with working hours, including prescheduled daytime shifts and Saturdays as required. Ability to stand duration of shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or move 100 with lifting equipment or assistance. Able to speak, read and write the English language. Self-starter that has some flexibility with work hours as necessary. Strong attention to detail. Pay: $26.00 to $30.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
