Job Description Job Description JOB PURPOSE: The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in support of safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This includes work on electrical systems, mechanical components, piping, and automation controls, following established safety protocols and predictive maintenance strategies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems. · Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLCs, VFD’s, motor controls, safety systems, and robotic or automated equipment with power up to and including 480 volts. · Install and wire control panels, conduit, and power feeds in accordance with electrical codes and safety standards. · Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to identify and correct faults in electrical and automation systems. • Expected to provide mechanical maintenance in support of the maintenance team. · Complete and document work orders in the CMMS with detailed notes that support long-term equipment history and diagnostics. · Comply with all safety requirements and PPE protocols when exposed to hazards such as electrical energy, chemicals, fumes, dust, poor ventilation, elevation, or confined spaces. · Follow LOTO procedures and participate in calendar-based inspections and safety walkthroughs. · Maintain clean and orderly tools and work area; contribute to department 6S initiatives. · Provide maintenance and production management with timely follow-up communication on all assignments and/or repairs. · Order parts through the maintenance manager with accurate documentation of needs and part specifications. · Contact technical support when onsite troubleshooting resources have been exhausted. · Collaborate with maintenance management to continuously improve plant operations, maintenance procedures, and preventative strategies. · Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication with coworkers, leadership, and external partners. · Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to urgent maintenance needs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Proven work record with electrical, PLC, and automation troubleshooting skills. · Ability to diagnose and repair issues involving drives, servos, control panels, and robotic systems. · Experience with conduit installation, panel wiring, and safety system configuration. · Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts. · Ability to mechanically disassemble and assemble machines and components. · Able to read machine prints, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. · 3 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience preferred technical certifications a plus. · Computer skills for maintenance tracking (CMMS) · Ability to work independently or as part of a team. · Requires considerable physical effort (standing, lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, etc.). · Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Monday-Thursday 6:30am- 4:30pm
