Job Description:
CarMax, a leading retailer of used vehicles in the United
States, is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join
our skilled team. With over 200 stores nationwide, CarMax offers a
unique and honest car buying and selling experience. As an
Automotive Mechanic at CarMax, you will be responsible for
diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues while
maintaining high customer satisfaction. Our ideal candidate is
technically skilled, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about
delivering exceptional service in the automotive industry. Inspect
and diagnose vehicles to identify issues. Perform routine vehicle
maintenance and general mechanic repairs. Communicate with the
service manager and customer service representatives about vehicle
statuses. Install new vehicle parts and ensure electrical systems
are operational. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in
compliance with CarMax standards. Follow checklists to ensure
thorough examinations of all vehicles. In-depth knowledge of
vehicle mechanical systems and components. Ability to use
diagnostic tools to identify issues and fix them. Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage time
effectively and adapt to evolving work demands. Medical Insurance
