Job Description:

The Position The Quality Manger is responsible for ensuring outstanding quality of pre-cast building products. They take ownership of all aspects of quality control including raw materials, manufacturing processes, product finishes, product handling, storage, and installation. Their attention to efficiency, quality, and communication drives cost savings to support Mid-States ability to be exceptionally profitable. This individual will also: Collaborate daily with Production Management to oversee inspection activity of product throughout the production cycle Collaborate with Field Project Management to address customer and field Quality issues; Assure ongoing compliance to quality standards for field operations in particular meeting MNL 116/117 and PCI Erection standards Continuously seek to improve product quality, reduce product defects and scrap, increase manufacturing efficiency, and troubleshoot errors through Six Sigma, Red X, and/or other statistical and root-cause initiatives Regularly reviews and improves upon standard and special mix designs that enhance product quality, reduces manpower requirements, meets customer defined criteria for strength and finishes, and reduces cost Understand, research, and educate others on best-practices for improved quality, including PCI standards Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements Participate in PCI audits and committees to collaborate with others within precast industry Support Plant safety standards by intervening, resolving, and reporting any safety hazard Impact financial objectives by budgeting expenditures, analyzing cost variances, and reducing scrap through corrective actions Supervise Quality team members and grow their technical expertise; generate SWIs for Quality work assignments; regularly review and manage team performance Collaborate with Quality Team to uphold and improve standards; complete internal/external quality audits to ensure compliance. Required Qualifications 5 years of experience maintaining quality 3 years of supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and drive cost savings Experience with QC recordkeeping Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft office proficiency Exceptional ability to read & understand blueprints Preferred Qualifications PCI or ACI Certification 5 years of experience maintaining quality within a precast concrete facility OSHA 30 hour Creating KPI---s, Quality Charts, policies, and procedures.
