Job Description Industrial/Organizational Psychologist Under
guidance from the company's leadership, the
Industrial-Organizational Psychologist will identify unique
challenges facing Kaiser Transport due to its challenging and
one-of-a-kind business model. The I/O Psychologist will then
implement ongoing strategic action plans to support our pillars of
success, which include the following: Foundation; Our Employees:
Retention and recruiting to fill driving and non-driving positions
Pillar 1; Keep the trailers full Pillar 2; Service the Customer
(internal and external) Pillar 3; Mission Zero: Safety Pillar 4;
growth through efficiencies The primary function of the I/O
Psychologist is to facilitate organizational development and
change. The Industrial/Organizational Psychologist applies
principles of psychology to job positions, recruiting, retention,
marketing, sales, and management applications. The Industrial
Organizational Psychologist works with leadership to organize the
work setting to set goals, improve structure and processes, and
improve profitability. Identify needed changes to organizational
structure in support of our pillars of success Develop interview
techniques, metrics, and tests to support placement and retention
Assess employee performance to identify training and development
needs Communicate with customers to gauge engagement and resolve
complaints Integrate adult learning principles into educational and
technical training programs Train Human Resources and Leadership
Team to improve performance Conduct research studies of work
environments, organizational structures, and communication systems
to assess organizational functioning. Prepare and present technical
reports or presentations to leadership and employees Study
customer-satisfaction trends and assist in the implementation of
process improvements Collect information from people through
observation, interviews, or surveys Observe and interview drivers
to learn about positions and drive employee engagement Advise
management concerning personnel, managerial, and marketing
practices and communications, and their potential effects on
organizational effectiveness. Help employees manage personal
problems by identifying strengths and weaknesses and pointing out
available resources. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exemplary

management experience Psychotherapeutic counseling techniques

including Windows and Access based programs Education and/or
Experience Bachelor's Degree in psychology or closely related field
(required) Master's degree (preferred) 1 year of experience in I/O
