Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n Echo Technologist - Echo Tech /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule /n• On-call weekend rotation every 7 weeks /n• May be required to work flexible hours /n• Perform echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, 2D/3D Doppler, transesophageal and stress testing /n• Work consistently in Adult Echo/Stress/TEE/Call Coverage with some pediatric cases /n• Produce two and three dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses /n• Assess, prepare and perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations /n• Use clinical judgment to determine need for additional testing protocols /n• Recognize arrhythmias and take appropriate action by notifying physician for abnormal readings /n• Assess quality of electrocardiographic and echocardiography recordings /n• Document patient and procedural information in medical records with 98% accuracy /n• Educate patients and families about procedures /n• Provide emotional support, physical comfort and safety for patients and visitors /n• Maintain equipment and work area in proper working condition /n• Respond appropriately in emergency situations /n• Associate or Bachelor's degree from accredited program required /n• BLS certification required /n• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive hospital and trauma center providing advanced cardiac diagnostic services.
