Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Staff Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Unit Location: Beloit, WI Pay Range: $33.40 – $53.44/hour (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: Yes Shifts Available: 1st and 3rd Shift (7a–7p or 7p–7a) Hours per Week: 24–36 hours Benefits Status: Benefit Eligible Department: Medical/Surgical Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Unit. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll provide primary nursing care to patients recovering from a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, administer medications, monitor patient condition, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Whether you’re an experienced medical/surgical nurse or a motivated new graduate, this role provides opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care for adults with diverse medical and surgical needs. - Administer intermittent and continuous IV medications and monitor for reactions or changes in patient status. - Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and take appropriate interventions. - Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the EMR. - Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care. - Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. - Support unit operations, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a positive work environment.
