Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive oncology infusion nursing care using the nursing process Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the care team Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other prescribed medications safely and in compliance with policy and state practice acts Monitor patients during infusion, manage side effects, and escalate concerns promptly to the appropriate provider Complete accurate, timely documentation to reflect assessments, interventions and patient education Deliver clear, empathetic patient and family education about treatments, side effects and self-care Participate in unit performance improvement, shared governance and evidence-based practice initiatives Support clinic flow by responding to telephone triage, coordinating care, and occasionally floating to other units as needed Qualifications WI RN or Compact RN License (required) BLS/CPR certification (required) ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification (required) Experience administering oncology infusions, chemotherapy and immunotherapy Comfortable with IV/infusion therapy, medication administration and patient assessment Ability to float to other units based on clinical competency and staffing needs Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach Knowledge & Skills Oncology infusion and chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration Infusion therapy and IV management Medication administration best practices and safe handling Patient assessment, documentation and care planning Telephone triage and effective clinical communication Critical thinking, delegation and interdisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education with cultural sensitivity Benefits Generous travel support and logistics help to make your assignment smooth Medical, Dental & Vision coverage options so you can stay healthy 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future Life Insurance to protect what matters most Paid Time Off to recharge between assignments Travel reimbursement and housing assistance for travel RNs Licensure assistance & reimbursement to keep your credentials current Referral bonus program — bring a colleague and celebrate together A supportive, collaborative team that values your expertise and growth Travel Perks: Explore Janesville, WI Explore Janesville’s Rotary Botanical Gardens and stroll scenic Riverside Park along the Rock River.
