Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week Home Health assignment, providing patient care in a community-based setting using Cerner EMR. Details - Home health care setting with field-based patient visits - Patient population includes geriatric, joint replacement, stroke, CHF/COPD, and Parkinson's diagnoses - Approximately 5 patients treated per day, varying by visit type or evaluation - Day shift schedule, 8:00am–4:30pm - Self-scheduling model - No weekend or holiday requirements - Works alongside PTAs who are supervised by the PT - Charting system is Cerner, which is transitioning to Epic Requirements - Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required - Home health experience required - OASIS experience required - Current BLS certification required - Active PT license required by start date; license required if applicable - 2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the same specialty within the last 3 years Additional Information - Lymphedema certification is a plus - Orientation includes computer-based training followed by 1-on-1 field shadowing (8 hours total) - Solid-color scrubs in any color and closed-toe shoes required - Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months and require facility approval before being considered - Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-677406.
