Job Description:

Position Summary: Supports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies meant to foster positive relations between employees and the organization. Manages the organization's direct labor recruitment function to fill production roles. Implements employee and management training and development initiatives to ensure employees are competent in their roles. Position Requirements: 1. In conjunction with the HR Director, assists in the implementation of human resources strategies designed to meet employee needs while aligning with the organization's goals and mission. Provides input into on human resources policies and sets standards governing recruiting and onboarding, training and career development, and employee relations, 2. In conjunction with the senior management team, assists in the development of employee relations strategies designed to promote employee engagement and satisfaction with the organization to reduce turnover, while aligning with the organization's goals and mission. 3. Participates in employee relations related issues, which may include employee disciplinary action, conflict resolution, work life balance, or the EAP program. Ensures programs are administered fairly across the employee population. 4. Participates in investigations into employee/employer misconduct and provides consultative guidance to management staff and supervisors in the fair and equitable application of employee relations policies within the organization. 5. Works with production leadership to understand the strategic goals of their departments in relationship to manpower requirements. Oversees direct labor recruiting, retention, performance management, and organizational and employee development strategies that address future workforce or skill/knowledge shortages. 6. Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents. Processes employee status change forms and maintains associated records. 7. Answers employee questions about human resources policies or offerings. 8. Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review. 9. Establishes and maintains relationships with employment agencies, external recruiters, professional associations, or other organizations to ensure a continuous pipeline of candidates and establish the organization as an employer of choice. 10. Develops and implements recruiting strategies, processes, programs, and other activities related to attracting top talent. Stays abreast of changes in the manufacturing field that have an affect on requirements for production candidates. 11. Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations. 12. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program. 13. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems. 14. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or relevant course of study , r equired. 2. PHR or SHRM Certification, preferred . 3. 6 or more years of advanced generalist experience to be considered , required. Key Attributes: Performs under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues. PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS : Distinguishes relevant from irrelevant information to identify and analyze problems. Identifies possible explanations/alternatives and proposes viable solutions. Provides and implements effective solutions to individual and organizational problems. Able to undertake complex tasks, break them down into manageable parts to resolve issues systematically. QUALITY OF WORK : Uses ability to independently plan, prioritize, and complete work with accuracy, neatness and at a satisfactory rate. PROFESSIONALISM : Conducts themselves in a professional manner; has a commitment to productive work habits, is responsible and dependable. Represents the company in a positive manner. EMS/SAFETY/COVID-19/ HOUSEKEEPING : Understands, adheres to, and promotes all Environmental, Safety, COVID-19, and Housekeeping guidelines and requirements. Addresses EHS, Safety and Housekeeping issues when observed. Actively works to mitigate, reduce, or remove potential safety risks. TEAMWORK : Working and contributing as a productive member of a cohesive group toward a shared goal, participating actively, sharing responsibility and rewards. Ability to empathize and create an atmosphere of respect, helpfulness and cooperation through actions and behaviors. Contributes to the team structure by balancing roles of leading and following and effectively negotiates and manages conflict.
