Job Summary: The Packager/Packer is responsible for ensuring that
everything is in order prior to shipping and supports production
and sanitary procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: Not
Applicable for this position Schedule: Second Shift: Monday through
Friday 3:30pm - finish production (including occasional Saturday's)
Duties/Responsibilities: Ensures product protection by checking
package integrity for good seals, proper price, code date, tape
color, and product quality according to standard procedures. Works
in a team to pack product by assembling boxes, taking product off
conveyor line, taping boxes, and placing on skid, and pull sealed
cases off automated packaging lines Ensures the product is free
from contamination by following rules of good manufacturing
practices for disease control, personal practices, and uniform
policy Stack sealed cases on skids according to staking procedures
under pallet pattern Recognizes problems, alerts machine
operator/mechanics according to standard procedures Prepares cases
for use on the next shift by labeling information on the side of
the box to include brand name, quantity, weight, and product type
Maintains communication with other departments, employees, and
management to notify them of any issues that may restrict the
efficiency of production Follows SOP, SSOP, GMP, and general safety
policies Additional Duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to calculate basic math and read Ability to actively listen
to instructions and understand basic English Education and
Experience: High school diploma or equivalent No experience
necessary Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lbs Ability
to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift Ability to climb on ladders
and maneuver through equipment Flexibility to work overtime,
