Job Description:

Organize, plan and develop projects and events initiated and hosted by the organization such as networking events, professional seminars, and other events as developed by the company. In collaboration with Director of Marketing and Communications, write, design and edit material (programs, tickets, email blasts, ) for events. Ensure that the needs of event details are met and properly Comply with the constraints of the event Survey and record suggestions from the membership to ensure that orgnaizational events are meeting member's needs. Ensure the event sponsorship packages and agreements are being As directed, the Event Coordinator will sit on select event committees as required and attend events as assigned. Communicate with board on event Ability to attend board meetings as needed. In collaboration with Director of Marketing and Communications maintains and updates the events on the website, email programs, and social media. In collaboration with Director of Marketing and Communications prepares event press releases and other information to the appropriate media channels as Education: A Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or hospitality, or the equivalent in acquired on-the-job experience. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in planning/executing public events, preferably in a non-profit or similar environment. Skills: Works well independently and under pressure. Possesses time, resource and project management skills. Effectively organizes work and manages various details. Presents a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude. Committed to maintaining the highest sensitivity to professional ethics and cultural diversities, treating all people equally and respectfully. Proficiency in using standard office equipment. Ability to use computers, MS Office and Google Programs. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Willing to accept flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on evolving event needs.
