Kaiser Logistics, Inc is a third-party logistics provider of open deck freight transportation. We are seeking a highly motivated professional for the position of Carrier Representative.Directly reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Carrier Representative is responsible for delivering customer satisfaction, driver support, and brokerage activities to support the Pillars of our success.This is a unique opportunity for those looking to broaden their skillset by working within a successful sales team. Strong willingness to learn, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure are required. Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, execute, and manage daily logistics and carrier plansGrow, maintain, and manage a carrier list for all lanes Confirm and validate daily pick up and deliveriesResponsible for the highest level of carrier and customer relationsResponsible for effective load trackingEnsure on-time pickup and delivery of all loadsUtilize effective communication around logistics responsibilities amongst customers, carriers, drivers, and support departmentsResponsible for new carrier acquisition Job RequirementsExemplary verbal and written communicationOutstanding customer service valuesStrong Understanding of phone etiquetteStrong background in spreadsheet utilizationProficiency in basic computer skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office productsProven decision-making and problem-solving experienceExperience in the transportation, logistics, and dispatch rate negotiations preferredHigh degree of comfort in a fast-paced dynamic environmentAbility to effectively organize and prioritizeExperience with Truckmate, DAT, or Internet Truckstop preferred but not required Hours: Up to 50 hours per week based on business need. Generally, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend or afterhours work.This is an hourly position. Hourly pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
