Description:SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Senior
Radiochemist to develop and carry out chemical and radiochemical
experiments, aids in designing R&D and medical isotope
production processes, and interacts with other team members to
develop new product lines and optimize and scale existing product
lines.Duties and Responsibilities:Specific duties and
responsibilities of the Senior Radiochemist include, but are not
limited to:
- Propose, develop, conduct and analyze results of radiochemistry
experiments to support understanding and reaction composition,
separation behavior, and .
- Develops and executes test plans, providing experience and
ideas for process development. Analyzes data and provides direction
for future action.
- Leads and is responsible for significant projects (durations of
months, multiple stakeholders).
- Directs other scientists and engineers in developing
radiochemical processes and techniques.
- Perform all work in compliance with site safety and radiation
protection guidelines, including effective teamwork and
communication with radiation protection specialists, authorized
users and RSO.
- Assist in the training, developing, and mentoring of
employees.
- Responsible for maintaining laboratory functions and other
routine tasks as required.
- Perform other general duties associated with position as member
of radiochemistry team to ensure ongoing effectiveness and
continuous improvement of SHINE R&D efforts.
- Some travel and overtime work may be
required.Requirements:Senior Radiochemist Job Requirements:
- PhD in Radiochemistry or BS/MS with appropriate experience
- A minimum of 5 years of direct radiochemical research
experience involving method development is required
- Proficiency with various laboratory techniques/instruments such
as spectroscopy (alpha/beta, gamma, UV/Vis), chromatography (IC,
HPLC, TLC), trace metal analysis (AA, ICP), and wet chemistry
techniques.
- Working understanding of nuclear process equipment and
instrumentation.
- Willingness to learn and understand new technology,
instrumentation, and technical processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and basic data
management and computer skills.
- Demonstrated high standards with respect to safety and
radiation protection.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including ability
to conduct presentations to small or large technical and
non-technical audiences.
- Work as a self-starting individual, initiating action and
activities when needed.
- Ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced dynamic team
environment. Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the

conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically
