Troubleshoot and repair as needed. Install or replace belts, filters, gears, chains, valves, or other components.Maintain dock plates and overhead doors in all distribution and warehouse facilities.Ensure forklift batteries have appropriate water levels and are charged.Complete routine carbon monoxide checks on powered equipment.Assist with facility upkeep such as cleaning, operating sweeper/scrubber, and removing recycling and refuse. Assist with janitorial duties as a backup role when necessary.Assist in recordkeeping and inventory tracking for replacement parts. Maintain preventive maintenance records.Perform inspection and/or preventive maintenance of mechanical handling equipment such as forklifts, sweepers, conveyor systems, etc.Perform inspection and/or preventive maintenance of distribution center machines and building structures such as racks, floors, and lighting.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.Associated Functions:Perform other duties as assigned.What It Takes:Prior experience in skilled trades preferredMust possess a valid driver licenseExcellent mechanical aptitude/abilityWorking knowledge of various industrial machines, welders, power and hand toolsAbility to work independently and without direction
